About Pediatrics

At IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta we care for children’s health with a comprehensive pediatric service. We offer walk-in care from Monday to Friday (8 a.m.–10 p.m.) and on holidays (9 a.m.–9 p.m.), with immediate access to tests and specialists. We also provide scheduled consultations for follow-up from birth through adolescence, covering check-ups, vaccinations, and acute or chronic conditions. In addition, we offer pediatric specialties such as gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, allergology, and nephrology.

Walk-in pediatric care

At IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta we offer walk-in pediatric care on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Our medical team is available to respond immediately to any need, with access to diagnostic tests and the support of the hospital’s various specialties (medical and pediatric).

Patients with health insurance can benefit from this service.

Scheduled pediatric consultations

We offer general pediatric consultations for follow-up from birth through adolescence. These consultations include healthy child check-ups, psychomotor development assessments, breastfeeding and complementary feeding support, and vaccination programs, among others. We also provide diagnosis and follow-up of both acute and chronic conditions in childhood.

Pediatric treatments must be adapted to the child’s age, medical history, and individual characteristics. That is why specialist advice is essential. The Pediatric Unit at IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta works in close coordination with the rest of the hospital’s medical services, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care.
