Dr Francisca Expósito Orta is an officially recognised specialist in Emergency Medicine by the Spanish Ministry of Health and a specialist in Family and Community Medicine through the MIR residency programme. She has extensive clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine and the treatment of polytrauma patients, and currently works in the Emergency Department at Hospital IMED Virgen de la Fuensanta. A graduate in Medicine from the University of Granada, she holds a PhD in Internal Medicine (cum laude) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and has specific postgraduate training in urgent care, emergency medicine, disasters and advanced life support. She has worked for many years in emergency medical services (SAMU and 061/CCU), combines her clinical work with university teaching on the Medicine Degree programme at UCAM, and maintains a strong research career, with publications, participation in conferences, supervision of theses, membership of research groups and recognition for her scientific activity.
